Pike Area Transit System Things to Know
1. While reliability and punctuality are the hallmarks of our service, external factors can occasionally impact our timing. To ensure a smooth journey, please be ready 30 minutes before your schedule time and allow for a 30-minute grace period for your pick-up.
2. “To keep our service on a schedule for everyone, drivers can wait a maximum of 5 minutes after arrival. If a passenger is not ready within this window, the driver must proceed to the next stop, and the ride will be recorded as a ‘No Show.’ We appreciate your promptness in helping us stay on time for all our riders.
3. Our drivers are happy to provide standard boarding assistance. If you require additional support beyond entering and exiting the vehicle, please arrange for personal assistant to accompany you. One companion may travel with you free of charge.
4. To ensure the accuracy of our routing and schedules, drivers are not authorized to book appointments or modify scheduled stops. All scheduling requests and route changes must be handled directly through our PATS Dispatch Office.
5. To maintain a clean and comfortable environment for all passengers, smoking (including all tobacco and electronic products), eating, and drinking are strictly prohibited on all PATS vehicles. We appreciate your cooperation in keeping our buses clean.
6. To ensure PATS can effectively coordinate our drivers and secure your seat, please schedule your pick up by 3:00 p.m. on the business day prior to your trip. Due to high demand, we recommend calling as early as 8:00 a.m. when our lines open, as time slots fill up quickly. This helps our team finalize the following day’s schedule and provide the most reliable service possible.
