Pike Area Transit System

Pike Area Transit System (PATS) serves the entire area of Pike County. This program is an on-demand system, and we currently have a total of six (6) vans, five (5) of which are lift-equipped vehicles.  Because PATS has wheelchair lift vehicles available, it is a welcomed convenience for people with disabilities that restrict mobility and senior citizens.

Our fleet of vehicles transport individuals to daily appointments, to shop, buy groceries or just visit with friends and neighbors.  We provide transportation for many citizens to kidney dialysis, physical therapy, and cancer treatments.  PATS makes every effort to serve the needs of all citizens of Pike County.

Passenger Information

Although PATS prides itself on reliability and punctuality, there are unavoidable variances in schedules at times.  Therefore, please be prepared for pick up 30 minutes prior to scheduled pick-up time or for a 30 minute delay in pick-up.

Drivers are allowed to wait three to five minutes only.  If the van must wait for five minutes, it will leave without you and this will count as a “No Show”.  Please be prompt so the driver will be able to pick up the next passenger on time.

Cancellation & No-Show Policy

If you need to cancel your ride, please notify us at least one hour before your scheduled pickup. Failure to cancel in advance will result in a “No Show.” To ensure fair access to our services for all passengers, three No Shows within a 30-day period may lead to a 14-day suspension of riding privileges.
