Keep Troy Beautiful
Our Mission.
The mission of Keep Troy Beautiful, an affiliate of Keep America Beautiful, is to achieve a cleaner and more beautiful community through education, communication, and participation.
Litter. Waste. Rubbage. Trash.
However you label it, we take action to prevent it. We empower citizens with the tools and resources to clean it up. We educate the community about the negative effects litter has on our quality of life and natural environment.
Beautify. Enhance. Cultivate. Enrich.
Wherever you want to do it, were here to support it. We put the tools in your hands. We provide the resources for the health, safety and visual improvement of our community.
Educate. Communicate. Inform. Instruct.
No matter how you comprehend it, we bring awareness to it. We provide resources to put what you have learned into action. We support environmental education practices and volunteer opportunities for citizens to become active participants in greening our community.
Reduce. Reuse. Recycle. Renew.
However you lessen your impact, we help facilitate it. We provide outlets for the recycling and reuse of unwanted items. We provide programs to meet your waste reduction goals.
About Keep Troy Beautiful.
Started in 2013, Keep Troy Beautiful (KTB) is an initiative of Mayor Jason A. Reeves and an affiliate of Keep America Beautiful (KAB) and Keep Alabama Beautiful. The Keep Troy Beautiful affiliate is a hybrid venture of the City of Troy and Keep Troy Beautiful, Inc. (a 501(C)3 nonprofit organization). The main goals of Keep Troy Beautiful are to increase recycling, eradicate litter, beautify our city, and promote community greening. Our programs are designed around these goals. KTB participates in KAB’s programs including, but not limited to, Great American Cleanup and America Recycles Day. It takes just one person, one school, one business, one organization to positively impact our community.
Get Involved.
The only way to make a difference is to get involved. We invite you to join our volunteers who participate in KTB programs citywide, and lend your hands and voice to our efforts. Get active with your family, friends, coworkers and neighbors. Connect with local businesses and government. However you take part, you will help transform our City into a cleaner, safer and healthier community. So please join us by becoming a committee member, volunteer, or sponsor one of our many programs or special events.
