The Troy Police Department holds itself to a high standard of Professionalism and Training. We are committed to providing the highest quality service to our citizens. Acting in partnership with the community, we work to promote a responsive and flexible approach to law enforcement as well as quality of life issues. The Chief of Police Randall Barr has 56 sworn officers that serve the citizens of Troy.  The Troy Police Department is divided into task specific units to provide the best service to our citizens.  These units consist of a Patrol Division, Criminal Investigation Division, Staff Services Division and a Special Operations & Events Division.

Troy Police Department Mission

  1. Protect life and property within the police jurisdiction of the City of Troy.
  2. Enforce laws and ordinances in a fair and impartial manner and recognize the constitutional rights of all persons.
  3. Contribute to the safety and security of the community by apprehending those who commit criminal acts and by developing partnerships to prevent, reduce or eliminate community problems.
  4. Provide continuous services on a professional level.
